Arash Teymourian
Arash was born in Iran (Teheran) , January 1, 1976 .He began studying music at the age of ten in various music colleges in Tehran, where he learned to play flute and piano.
In 1999, he continued studying music at the University of Tehran and obtained his bachelor’s degree in 2004. He then continued his studies at the Komitas Conservatory of Music in Yerevan where he studied composition under the supervision of from the Israeli professor Martun for seven years, and he obtained his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in composition. He also earned a diploma of honor to write three chorales on Iranian poems that was performed by the National Choir of Armenia in 2008. For two years, he was a music teacher at the University of Tehran and the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran, where he taught theories of music and solfeggio, the harmony of classical music and the form of classical music.
In 2013, he immigrated to Canada to discover another musical universe under the supervision of Professor Ana Sokolovic at the University of Montreal and obtained his second master’s degree in composition. Arash Teymourian is a famous Iranian composer, and his works have been performed around the world. Among his works we can mention the string quartet, the three-movement string trio, the solo violin sonata, the violin and cello anthem, the piano anthem, the piano miniatures, the clarinet miniature, the sonata for cello and piano, the novelette for piano and violin and clarinet, the seven choral pieces on Iranian poems, the three episodes for brass ensemble, the concerto for viola and string orchestra, the concerto for violoncello and large orchestra , the cantata for baritone and great orchestra.
