Ehsan Sadigh is a highly accomplished artist and multi-instrumentalist
specializing in music composition,
performance, and photography. Born in Kermanshah, Iran
in 1980, Ehsan has significantly contributed to the
arts industry in his home country and internationally.
Ehsan holds a bachelor’s degree in photography from
Azad University Tehran, which he obtained in 2007.
Currently, Ehsan is actively engaged as a music composer,
particularly in the realm of film scores and solo projects.
His compositions have resonated with audiences, and he
has established a strong reputation for his ability to create
emotionally captivating soundscapes. Ehsan is also the
leader and founder of Quartet Diminished, a contemporary
jazz band, and Ape Sextet, which explores progressive
psychedelic. His diverse musical projects reflect his
versatility as an artist and his commitment to pushing
boundaries in different genres.
Ehsan’s compositions have been featured in numerous
films, including “Careless Crime,” “Deep Dive,”
“Headless,” “Absence of Director,” and “Janbal.” His
ability to convey the essence of a story through music has
earned him recognition and accolades. Notably, he
received the “Best Music Film Composition” award for the
film “Jabal” at the D’iDEA Film Festival in 2021 And the
“Best Music Film Composition” award for the film
“Vanished “ of Nahal Film Festival 2023. In addition to his
film scores, Ehsan has composed and performed music
for various short films, including “Vanished,” “Berno,”
“Daughter and the Driver,” “Illusionist,” “The Ice,”
“Objective Conditions,” “Tea,” and others. His music adds
depth and enhances the storytelling in these projects.
Ehsan’s talent as a composer and musician has led to
numerous performances worldwide. He has
performed in renowned venues such as Vahdat Hall and
Roudaki Hall in Tehran, Porgy and Bess in Vienna, AK Bank
Festival in Istanbul, and Take5 Festival in Bologna. He has
participated in music festivals and events like WOMEX and
the Jazz-Visitors Program in Germany, further
establishing his presence in the global music scene.
Beyond his work in music and photography, Ehsan has
also composed music for theater productions and dance
performances. His compositions have graced productions
such as “Cho’s Manifesto,” “Beyond the Night Crow’s
Wings,” and “Devastation.” He has collaborated with
talented dancers, including Golzar Hazfi and Samaneh
Zandinejad, in Butoh Dance performances and film-dance
projects.
