Olga Mizyuk, celloOlga Mizyuk

Born in Lviv (West Ukraine), Olga Mizyuk graduated with hounors from the MoscowTchaikovsky Conservatory, where she studied with professor Maria Chaikovskaya (former student and assistant of Mstislav Rostropovich).
Olga gathered prizes from several music competitions winning Ukranian National String Quartet Competition and the international competition The Art of 21 Century. She was a member of Wieniawski State String Quartet in Poland. As a soloist Olga performed with Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra, Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra and chamber orchestra  and “New generation” often premiering works of Polish, Lebanese and Canadian contemporary composers.
A Montreal resident since 2010, Olga obtained her master’s degree in interpretation at theUniversity of Montreal under Yuly Turovsky and recently completed doctorate in interpretation at the University of Montreal under Yegor Dyachkov and Lorrein Vaillancourt.
Since 2013 Olga has been cello teacher at the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf and since 2014 at the Université de Montréal.
