With a particular interest in vocal and chamber music, Yuliya is passionate about bringing sensitivity, attentiveness, and versatility to her work with singers and pianists.
In 2019, Yuliya graduated from Vanier College with a Double Diploma of College Studies (Music&Arts, Letters and Communications). She later pursued and completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Linguistics in Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia, while continuing to cultivate her lifelong passion for music and singing. Her interdisciplinary background has strengthened her appreciation for communication, language, interpretation, and the expressive possibilities of music.
Yuliya’s musical development has also been shaped by her close ties to the classical music community in Saint Petersburg, Russia, where she had the opportunity to study with and attend masterclasses led by distinguished musicians and vocal pedagogues. Among them were Tatiana Melentieva, a world-known singer and musician, specialist in vocal chamber music who taught at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, and Svetlana Chuklinova, a prominent soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, vocal pedagogue, and active performer. Learning and performing under the guidance of such remarkable figures of the classical music world has allowed Yuliya to deepen her understanding of vocal repertoire, musical interpretation, and the unique relationship between singer and accompanist.
Alongside her performance work as a singer, Yuliya teaches piano, helping students develop a strong foundation in technique, musicianship, and musical understanding. She aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can progress at their own pace, discover the joy of making music, and develop the confidence to express themselves through their instrument.
